schedule.
Baseline: 1 gallon per person per day for at least 3 days. Add extra for pets, hot weather,
infant formula, medical needs, and basic sanitation.

Storage checklist
- Containers are food-grade or commercially sealed bottled water
- Water is stored away from heat, fuel, paint, pesticides, and scented chemicals
- Containers are off bare concrete and protected from punctures or crushing
- Each container is labeled with fill date, source, and treatment status
- Large barrels have a pump, siphon, or access tool stored nearby
